Coffee is a wonderful drink that brings people together. We often have it while we enjoy a nice breakfast or for some, while we have a sweet snack. So, no matter when you have your coffee, it is just so natural to want to enjoy while also munching on something, so what goodies pair well with coffee? We will find out.

  1. The beignets. . What are beignets? Oh, well let me tell you, my friend! These treats are deep fried squares of dough and then covered in powdered sugar. Yeah, sounds like heaven, right? Well, when you have one, you will know it is.
  2. Coffee cake. I mean c’mon, it is in the name! What is as delicious as having a sweet coffee cake with a cup of coffee? Whether you like it with some fruit filling or maybe cheese filling, perhaps plain, you are sitting pretty when you have some coffee cake with you java. The best ones are not too flaky and have some good sweetness to balance with the flavor of the coffee.
  3. A donut. This is one of the most iconic food pairing with coffee and rightfully so. I mean how many donut shops have pictures of a donut with coffee?The best donuts to enjoy with a cup of coffee is a cake donut because they are denser but as long as you have a donut, you are doing well.
  4. Toast. Perhaps one of the most common food pairings to enjoy with coffee because it is so easy to make and when do we not have bread at our homes? Spread some butter, margarine, or some jam and you have a winning combination.
  5. Bacon, egg, cheese sandwich. This savory goodness is enough to make you want to have a cup of coffee with it before you even realize that you wanted coffee. Whether you like it on an English muffin, bagel, or some toasted bread, this is a nice combination.
  6. Stroopwafel. Never heard of it? Well, until I tried one for the first time last month, neither had I; however, I assure you, these waffle-esque goodies are like long lost brother to coffee. The stroopwafel hails from the humble country that is the Netherlands. If you do a Google search of the stroopwafel, you will want to try one.
