Melissa Etheridge Shares Photo from Wedding: ‘So Blessed’

Melissa Etheridge had plenty to smile about on Saturday – so it’s no surprise she’s glowing head-to-toe in the first full-length photo she’s released from her wedding.

In the snapshot she Tweeted Sunday, Etheridge walks down the flower-adorned aisle arm-in-arm with her bride, Linda Wallem.

“True love…so blessed,” she wrote before quoting the officiant, “By the power invested in me by the state of California.”

The newlyweds tied the knot at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. It was the ultimate happy ending to the year since they announced their engagement following the Supreme Court’s historic decisions regarding gay rights.

In the course of the intimate outdoor ceremony, Etheridge serenaded Wallem with a new song she wrote especially for her.

“They were so happy,” says a guest. “It was really beautiful.”
