Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie ‘Still Separated but Good Friends’: Source

Is Hilary Duff having second thoughts about her split from Mike Comrie?

The pair, who announced their separation in January after three years of marriage, were spotted together at Coachella on Friday.

They looked happy and relaxed as they smiled and talked to each other at the Indio, Calif., music festival.

A source, however, tells PEOPLE that despite appearances, the two are not back together.

“They are still separated but very good friends,” the source says. “They are at Coachella this weekend, which is sure to fan the flames, but they aren’t a couple. It’s just not true – they remain separated.”

The couple, who are parents to Luca Cruz, 2, said at the time of their split that they would “remain best friends and will continue to be in each other’s lives.”

They kept to their word a month later, when the former Lizzie McGuire star went on a tropical vacation with Comrie, 33, and their son, sharing an Instagram pic of the three of them with the hashtags “#modernfamily” and “#vacation.”

The pair have spent time together since then, with Duff posting cute pics of her and Luca that were taken by the retired hockey pro.

A rep for Duff did not respond to requests for comment.

The pair were also spotted shopping together in Beverly Hills on Thursday, and at one point eyewitnesses saw them holding hands in the Chanel store, where the singer-actress, 26, bought a bag. She later showed it off on Twitter and then toted it to Coachella.
