Adele Teases Potential New Album on Twitter

“Rumor Has It” that Adele is releasing a third album.

If Twitter buzz is to be believed, the soulful singer will follow up the success of 2008’s 19 and 2011’s 21 with the aptly titled 25, continuing her tradition of naming albums by her age.

She celebrated her 26th birthday Monday, but Adele sparked fan fervor the day before with a selfie and a Tweet.

“Bye bye 25 … See you again later in the year x,” she wrote, posting a photo of her lying in bed and giving a thumbs up sign.

Her return would be a welcome one: Adele nabbed six Grammys for 21 and dominated the radio with hits like “Rolling in the Deep.” Since then, she’s been busy raising son Angelo, 1½.

But in January, Phil Collins suggested she’d be back in the spotlight soon, telling Inside South Florida he was working on writing songs with Adele.

“I live in a cave, but she’s achieved an incredible amount,” the musician reportedly said. “I really love her voice.”

And don’t expect any sad songs like “Someone Like You” on 25: In 2012, Adele told Vogue her next album (after a well-deserved recording break) would have a happier tone.

“I’m never writing a breakup record again, by the way,” she said. “I’m done with being a bitter witch.”
