“If you love it, buy it in two colors. What’s worse than having to choose between black (the safe option) and another color (the wild card)? Nothing, that’s what.” Can you guess who said these wise words? Stumped? It’s PEOPLE Style Director Andrea Lavinthal. And it looks like Kim Kardashian‘s been reading the site, because she now follows that same style mantra.
The reality star stepped out Wednesday night in a red knit ribbed crop top and pencil skirt, both Calvin Klein Collection. And, sure, Kardashian has the most extensive crop top collection in the U.S., but there was something very familiar about this one in particular. So we did some digging on her Instagram feed, and voilà: She also has it in white, with the skirt to match.(Because one can never have too many coordinating separates, right?)
Kardashian wore the white two-piece set (which retails for over $2,000) back in January while out with Kanye West, adding Giuseppe Zanotti shoes. And Wednesday she proved once again she’s breaking away from her neutrals-only wardrobe policy by wearing a red version of the Calvin Klein design, this time paired with nude Tom Ford sandals.
