How To Sport Short Natural Hairstyles

Come summers and it is very tempting to go in for the big chop, but no sooner than you start feeling good about your chopped hair that you find that it has turned unmanageable yet again. Does this leave you feeling that you made a mistake by chopping off your long tresses, and there is no way that you can pull off a funky yet short natural hairstyle? Well, you are mistaken, for you can indeed style your short hair very well! Here are some popular short hairstyles that will make you feel good about that fact that you went in for the chop!

The Teeny Weeny Afro (TWA)

There is no going wrong with the TWA! Not only is it one of the easiest styles to maintain, it will give you quite the rock star kind of edge when you are at work! Maintenance of this hairstyle is really simple too. Just wash, condition and moisturize your hair. All you do then is let your hair dry out in the air and go in for the careful careless look by picking it out gently. You can go real funky by using your hands to push your hair in one direction and using a scarf. You can also go with barrettes or ribbons if you are in a playful mood with your hair. If you are going in for a meeting and want to impress with your TWA, you can apply some gel on your washed hair and use the back of a thin comb to make a side parting on either or both sides. Make sure you clip it up till the gel has dried in and you are ready with an all new twist to the TWA!

The Chunky twist out

This is yet another super sexy and funky hairstyle that will make heads turn! Once your short crop starts growing out, you can work with your hair to apply this hairstyle. Although it takes a bit of an effort to get this hairstyle right, it is totally worth the effort you will be putting in to achieve it. Before you begin, make sure your hair is washed out, conditioned and moisturised. Detangling your hair at this stage is very important. When your hair is damp make four clear divisions in your hair. Now you will need some styling gel to twist you hair in each section. Make sure each section yields at least 4-5 big twists that look chunky enough. Setting your hair will not take more than 15-20 minutes, but its the drying that may take several hours. Once dried out, you can use some coconut oil or olive oil to minimise the frizz and keep your chunky twists in place.

These looks are not just sexy, they make you look super cute as well! So don’t worry about a bad hair day anymore! No matter how obstinate your curls may seem to you, there is always a short natural hairstyle to tame it down. What’s more? It’s sure to make you look irresistible as well!
