Christina Aguilera is sitting pretty.
She’s back in the red chair for season 5 of The Voice and says she feels sexier than ever.
Thanks to some time off, a new fitness routine and healthy eating, Aguilera has put in the hard work to slim down – but says her family is still a priority over exercise.
“If I have to choose between working out and spending time with my son after a hard day, it’s not even a question,” Aguilera tells November’s Redbook, on newsstands Oct. 15.
Aguilera says hanging out with 5½-year-old Max Liron is not the only family time she enjoys. She and her fellow coaches on The Voice are like a family unit, as well.
“I know these guys so well, they really are like my brothers, no joke,” she says. “There’s a 12-year-old boy in me who loves to come out and play with them.”
But the pop star admits she needed a break from the show in order to reconnect with herself.
“I needed to decompress, wind down the clock and just breathe,” she says. “I needed to find out who I am outside of that red chair.”
