Unbelievable Results of World Cup 2014 in Brazil

World Cup 2014 in Brazil is no doubt a great deal, which attracts lots of attention from every cotrner of the world. Many support their national teams, while the others chant for their favorites. The awaited event has gained monetum these days, when quarterfinal matches’ time is on TV screens. If looking at all the games that have passed, one can get an impressions that lots of unexpected things happened, and many teams took over real pros in football.

To be more precised, although quarterfinals will be finished only in a few hours, it is still unbeliveable how many and, in addition, truly unexpected, football teams has won their entry ticket to this point. For instance, Belgium – who would guess that red devils will get so far? On the background of Chileans’ victory over Spaniards, known to win all championships possible lately, Belgians has truly captured an attention of mine.

Though, there is no surprise in Germans victory in quarterfinals over France, yet it was truly European battle on the football field. As reported, due to the heroic saves of Noyer, Germans celebrate minimal victory in the quarterfinal match against France – 1:0. This team is surely on the way to the final match.

However, let’s get back to matches that truly blew football fans’ minds. For instance, Chileans and Spaniards have played each other at the last World Cup in South Africa. On June 25th 2010 Spain’s team won 2-1. Now, after the crushing defeat in the first game, fans started to doubt whether current European champions will repeat this result, especially, because on this tournament Chilean team arrived in optimal composition, and before the game South-American midfielder Arturo Vidal had got back in action after injury. We all know what happened afterwards, don’t we?

The other national team that cannot but astonish is Costa Rica. I am pretty sure that all the bars in San Jose are in very deed crowded in recent days, as this team has got into quartefinals as well. Costa Rica unexpectedly withdrew from the group of death, having passed over Uruguay and Italy, and “released” England to a goalless draw. For the first time in its history the team from Central America advanced to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.

After all, it is possible to admit that South-Americans have made a show for Europeans. Spain, England, Italy and Greece, which might be considered the favorites of this tournament, withdrew in many ways because of Latin-American national teams.
