The 2 Main Types of Fiji Holiday Packages

If you love pristine beaches, crystal clear water and exotic cultures, then you should definitely grab one of the available Fiji holiday packages and have the experience of a lifetime. Fiji is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the South Pacific thanks to its amazing natural attributes. When selecting a package, you need to consider the two major options first – staying in a resort or cruising. Find out how they compare.

Resort Packages

The country is a major tourist destination so there are plenty of resorts to pick from. There are romantic adult-only resorts which offer private villas on the beach, in the tropical forest or directly on the water. Some of the most popular resorts in this category include Turtle Island Resort, Royal Davui Island Resort, Likuliku Lagoon Resort and Vatulele Island Resort.

There are plenty of great Fiji holiday packages for families as well. Families can select from a variety of family resorts which offer facilities, entertainment and even education programs for kids. There are children’s menus and babysitting services for maximum convenience. Some of the top options include Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa, Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Treasure Island Resort and Castaway Island.

The typical package includes flights and airport transfers to and from the resort, accommodation and meals. The most popular packages are for 7, 10 and 14 days. You can select from luxury to budget accommodation. You can go for an all-inclusive deal which offers two or three meals a day. Typically, any attractions included in the package will come out cheaper compared to paying for them on the sport.

Cruise Packages

There are also Fiji holiday packages which are designed to take you on a cruise. It covers the most popular of the 333 islands which the country consists of. The 7-day cruises are the most popular, but there are longer ones as well. Typically, they start from Auckland in New Zealand or from Sydney or Brisbane in Australia. It is less common for them to start from the Fijian capital Suva.

The cruise ships offer four-start of four-star all inclusive experience. There are some popular places and attractions which are included in virtually every cruise. These include the capital Suva and its cultural and historic attractions, Nadi, which offers boutique shopping and fine restaurants, Beqa Island with its fire walkers, the gorgeous Dravuni Island, Port Denarau, Monuriki Island, where the movie Castaway starring Tom Hanks was filmed, and popular scuba diving and snorkelling spots.
