Perspiration Stains Keep Ruining My Clothes – What to Do About It?

Are you tired of having to throw away clothes because of dirty and bad smelling sweat stains? It can get frustrating buying new clothes and then after only wearing them once or twice they are stained because of perspiration. There is a way to prevent perspiration stains from ruining your clothes and there is a way to wash perspiration stains out of your clothes.

How to prevent perspiration stains

One way to prevent sweat stains is to wear an undershirt under the shirt you do not want to get stained. If you are okay with wearing an extra layer this can help you from ruining your clothes. If you do not want to wear an extra layer or are unable to wear an extra layer, there are other things you can try. When you put on your deodorant, wait a few minutes to let it dry before you put on your clothes. This will prevent the deodorant from rubbing off onto your clothes. Another suggestion is to try out a few different deodorants. You might find one that works better in controlling your perspiration. Try to find a deodorant with the least amount of aluminum in it.

How to wash sweat stains out of your clothes

There are a few different remedies to try in washing sweat stains out of your clothes. If your clothes are dry clean only, be sure to dry clean them after each time your wear them. This will help prevent perspiration stains. If they can be machine washed, be sure to put them in the wash immediately after washing. This will keep the perspiration stains from setting in. For darker colored clothes, fill a bucket with cold water and add one cup of vinegar. Let the garment soak in the bucket for 30 minutes and then put it in the washing machine. For whites and light colored clothes make a solution of about 1/4 cup each of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water. Mix these together and then rub solution into the stains and let it sit for about 30 minutes. You can use a toothbrush to rub the solution into the stains. Afterward, put the garment into the washing machine.

Get rid of the perspiration stains and quit ruining your clothes with those awful yellow stains.
