4 Ways On How To Use A Scarf To Make A Fashion Statement

Scarves have been around for a very long time and in addition to protecting you from cold, they can also be used to make a fashion statement.

One of the main advantages with them is that they are versatile; therefore, you can tie them in different ways depending on the occasion and dress that you are wearing. If you are curious of how you can stylishly wear a scarf, here are ideas on how to go about it:

As a headband

Here you need to simply wrap the scarf around your head and tie it at the nape of your neck. You can cover part or entire of your head. For an ideal look, you should ensure that your hair is not too polished or neat to hold the scarf in place.

For a cute, feminine look, you can make a big bow with the piece of clothing. You can also allow the excess hair to hang down your back in order to match the free-flowing theme.

On the neck

This is the most traditional way of wearing a scarf. Here you need to loop the piece of clothing around your neck. You can create a chick French twist by tying the scarf around your neck and tying a knot.

For ideal results, you should go for a piece of clothing that matches the dress that you are wearing. For example, if you are wearing a neutral-colored dress, you should go a patterned scarf. On the other hand if you are wearing a patterned cloth, you should go for a solid colored scarf.

To be comfortable, you should choose a scarf that is thin and light and won’t feel bulky around your neck.

As a belt

If you are blessed with a small waist, you can easily jazz up your look. Here you only need to tie the piece of clothing on your waist. You should note while the outfit gives great results, it does not work on all dresses. For example, it has been shown to work well only with straight and plain dresses that tend to look dull at the center.

On your bag

You wear the piece of clothing on your bag when you want to dress up a plain bag or you want to enhance the look of your old bag. Here you only need to tie the scarf to the bag’s handle.
