3 Vacation Destinations Perfect for Winter

If you’re interested in taking a vacation this winter, you’ll want to know some of the top destination ideas, here’s a few that are perfect for any traveler:

Vail

Vail is one of the smaller ski resorts in Colorado, however, it’s also known as one of, if not, the best place for skiing. Many avid skiiers consider it their favorite place in the United States to ski. Vail is located between the Sawatch and Gore mountain ranges. The valley in between is where you’ll find some of the best ski resorts in the country. Vail offers many miles of slopes in a wide variety of difficulties, some of the most powdery snow around plus gorgeous mountain peaks as its backdrop. Vail is famous for having beautifully maintained slopes and many options for luxury accommodations. It’s also a favorite for celebrities. But don’t forget your wallet, as Vail tends to be very expensive.

Banff

For a fun and unique winter experience, head north to Canada and the small Swiss style skiing village of Banff. Mount Norquay offers excellent skiing and winter extreme sports adventures nearby. Also, enjoy a unique experience in the Swiss village, with unique boutiques and gift shops plus dining on local delicacies.

Banff isn’t just great for a skiing vacation, but it’s also famous for being close to Banff National Park, which is excellent for hiking, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.

The Caribbean

What list of winter vacation ideas would be complete without somewhere tropical? The Caribbean is our choice for the best place to escape the chilly wintertime and enjoy warm temperatures and sandy beaches. The Caribbean offers a plethora of choices suitable for any traveler. From more accessible and inexpensive islands to true vacation adventures, there’s a place in the Caribbean that is perfect no matter your age or interest.

The Virgin Islands offers accessibility and a wide array of resorts to choose from. Puerto Rico is also a great option, especially if you want the safety and large island amenities that come from being a US commonwealth. If you’re coming from the United States, you don’t even need to bring your passport to come and go.

One great option for a fun winter adventure in the Caribbean is Jamaica. If you love reggae music, you’ll love Jamaica. Out of all the Caribbean islands, Jamaica offers one of the most unique cultures, including great food, history, people and geography.

An option if you’re looking for a less touristy and quiet destination in the Caribbean is Turks and Caicos. This tropical getaway offers powdery white sand beaches against a gorgeous light blue ocean. If you want to get away from it all and find some peace, then Turks and Caicos is it.
