Why Hair Mousse Can Solve Your Styling Problems

Perhaps you have been noticing lately that your hair seems a bit limp and flat, or that it blows around so much that you can’t control it. On the other hand, maybe your hair is meant to be curly, but instead it is so frizzy that you hate the sight of it, and don’t know what to do. You may be feeling a bit discouraged, but in fact, there are very few styling problems that cannot be solved with a dollop of hair mousse.

Hair mousse is a product specially designed to make styling easier, and often to add extra shine and volume to your hair at the same time. You apply it to your hair after washing and before drying and styling, usually by spraying a blob from an aerosol can into the palm of your hand. You only need a small amount, about the size of a golf ball, and it will foam out and expand in your hand. A good quality hair mousse contains nutrients to condition and enrich your hair, as well as adding body.

An alternative product for styling your hair is gel, a clear substance that usually comes in a squeezable bottle or tube. Gels contain fatty acids and vitamins which coat your hair, and are very effective if your hair is difficult to manage, or if you want to sculpt it into a style that will hold. However, you have to be careful not to use too much, or it will make your hair spiky and stiff, so that the effect is the opposite to the one you wanted.

Hair mousse is the better option for light, fine hair, as gel will weigh it down. If your hair is thicker or if you have springy bouncy curls (Type 3b), gel will often hold it in place more effectively and will be better at controlling frizzy; however, there is actually hair mouse on the market that is specifically designed for curly hair. Look for an alcohol-free product, so it presents no problem for dry hair, and one that contains a special formula for dealing with frizz. A whipped cream texture comes from luxury conditioning ingredients, which will ensure your curls are touchable and soft.

Whatever type of hair you have, hair mousse should become an essential element of your beauty regimen. There is a wide selection of brands available, for every type of hair, including long, short and problem hair, so there is bound to be one that is just right for you. If you have never used it before, give it a try. You may find that it finally gives you the head of hair you have always wanted
