The Significance of having Curly Hair

Openly or secretly, they adorn this attention though they might want it secretly or in crowd. Ask a woman and she will probably tell you that her relationship with her hair is similar to a love affair. Whether it’s the long hours spent waiting at the hair salon, the pain endured from pressing or braiding, or the amount of money spent on curling or straightening—hair is truly an obsession.

You look at long straight flowing hair and you wish you r curls never existed. If you have straight hair, you probably wish it was curly – whilst all those of us with curly hair wish it was straight! Its the attraction of opposites!  The grass is always greener on the other side, and the other side always has better hair.  Straight hair naturally tends to have a great shine and flow.  However, it also tends to be fine and tangy, and if it is also greasy can look a bit lank.  Also, many complain their hair look flat and less voluminous.

Curly hair has a well-earned reputation for being one of the hardest hair types to manage and style. Its drier, affected more by humidity, more prone to split ends and breakage, and trying to brush it can lead to an explosion of frizz resembling a lions mane. Anyways, straight hair could be compared to that of horses; let it be a different issue altogether. That’s why many with curly hair use flatirons—straight hair is just easier to deal with! Yet, curly hair is your pride. There could be many reasons of comparisons for straight hair and curly hair. Yet, we need to find out ways to flaunt and care your curls.

Hunting for the perfect curl may not be easy, it may take a while until you find the right products and techniques to achieve the perfect curl you have always been wishing for, but it will all be worth it in the end. So right now it may look like a ball of fuzz and hassle to you, but once you have figured out the needs of your hair, you will be thankful that you’re gifted with these curls.

7 Steps Necessary to Care your Curls

1. Do not Heat Your Hair:  Heat Styling Tools such as Flat Irons and Curling Irons does a lot of damaging to your locks and, turn your hair into a dry, brittle, and unhealthy.  So the first thing you should do is get your split ends cut off, you can get this done at your local hair stylist of even do it yourself if you dare.

2. Oil your hair: Oiling is best way to soften your curls. Oil your hair at least one hour before shampooing. It is better to leave your hair overnight after oiling.

3. Detoxify your hair about once a month. Your hair is one of the most absorbent and dirtiest parts of your body. Think of the smog, pollution, germs from sneezes and coughs, smoke, etc. that you encounter every day. All of this can get trapped in your hair. If you smoke or someone around you does, your hair will trap and smell like smoke. So even if you choose to live with the frizz and not use anything in your hair, please use a detoxifier once in a while. It will help your hair retain freshness and gives you results that you desire.

 4. Don’t wash your hair every day. Realize that you don’t need to shampoo everyday, but do condition every time you are in the shower. You may think that it’s good for your hair to wash it daily. But when you wash your hair daily, you’re actually stripping it off its natural oils resulting in it being dry and frizzy. Curly hair requires a lot more moisture than straight hairs do. You should only be washing your hair 2-4 times a week. You can condition your hair between washes if you like.
5. Wash with cold water. Cold water helps making hair shinier, locks in moisture, and reduces frizz.

6. Dont use too much product. With a styling milk, gel or mousse, put some into your palm and rub your palms together. The product will warm up as you rub and distribute better by not ‘globing’ onto one spot. You want to evenly distribute the Products for Natural Hair through your hair, so you will need to use more if you have longer hair.

These easy and natural steps will prove to be of great help in your daily hair care regime. Little bit of extra care and caution would give you long term results and healthiness of hair that you have desired.

I happen to speak to few men to find out what were their views on the hair type they prefer for women. According to one, “I saw this girl from back in a shopping mall; she had long curly hair which covered almost all her back. Her hair looked so attractive that I felt a desire to grab her entire look. Though the place was crowded, I couldn’t see her. I still wonder when I think of her.”

Another says, “I love playing with my girl friends hair. They are soft and silky. I love detangling her curls. Sometimes I wonder what hair products she uses to keep them so perfect.
