Is Kelly Clarkson Getting Married This Weekend?

Could this be the weekend that Kelly Clarkson and fiancé Brandon Blackstock make it official? All signs are pointing toward “I do.”

PEOPLE confirms that a marriage license was filed in Sumner County, just north of Nashville, on Tuesday under the names Kelly Brielle Clarkson and Narvel Brandon Blackstock, and is good for 30 days. The singer also confessed on Access Hollywood on Saturday that she was getting married soon. “Like, really soon,” she said.

As Clarkson told PEOPLE last February, the duo were planning on throwing a big backyard wedding this fall that included 200 guests, sunflowers and yellow roses, and a Thanksgiving-inspired dinner—until they got sick of the planning and decided to elope instead.

“We just got so overwhelmed by it – all the decisions,” she said. “Our lives are so in the spotlight all the time. Everything is such a spectacle, we were like, ‘We would rather have an intimate moment that’s special.’ ”

Clarkson, 31, and Blackstock, 35, sent an engagement photo to all of their guests saying, “Thank you so much, but it’s just going to be me and Brandon and his two kids and the minister.”

Clarkson also recently revealed that as soon as she and Blackstock tie the knot, they’ll begin working on their next adventure: starting a family.

“I already told him that when we’re past the wedding, I want a baby,” she told Access Hollywood.

The couple, who dated for a year before Blackstock proposed last December, won’t have much time to squeeze in a honeymoon before Clarkson is due in Las Vegas to perform a special concert at The Venetian Oct. 30 for an upcoming holiday special.

Her first Christmas album, Wrapped in Red, will be released on Oct. 29.
