Stephanie Seymour is the new face of Estée Lauder

Estée Lauder has once again demonstrated its pulling power in nabbing another industry icon. Stephanie Seymour has signed on to be the new face of the brand joining modeling legends Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Murphy and a younger contingent of top models Joan Small, Constance Jablonski and Liu Wen amongst othrs.

Seymour, now 45, is a seasoned professional when it comes to brand representation. She’s fronted campaigns for the likes of Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Jason Wu and Marc Jacobs amongst others and been shot by the world’s best including both Marios (Testino and Sorrenti), David Sims, Juergen Teller, Patrick Demarchelier and Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin since the beginning of her modeling career at age 14. She became a favourite of Azzedine Alaia and worked extensively with Richard Avedon, who first shot her at 18, throughout her career.

The mother of three spoke about her role. “I am honored to be part of the Estée Lauder family. As a young girl my mother had a dream for me and that was to be an Estée Lauder model! So this is truly a dream fulfilled,” she said.

The signing sees the beauty giant demonstrating its predilection for girls with beauty and brains. Seymour is an avid art and couture collector with an interest in fashion history and photography and she can act; she’s appeared in both television and film cameos. Expect to see more of her face.
