Spray Foundation: Possibly The Best Makeup For Women On The Go

Spray foundation was made famous by Carmindy, the makeup artist on the TLC’s What Not To Wear. Since then, a lot of women have been switching over from their old makeup and finding the ease of wearing spray foundation.

Spray foundation’s advantage is that it goes on fast, it looks amazing when applied correctly, and feels super light on your skin, as though not wearing makeup at all.

The downside of the foundation is that it is designed for shorter outings, three to four hours long, that you need to get ready for fast. The great thing about it is, although it doesn’t last as long as some other types of foundation, it looks amazing on your skin and you can look flawless when its working its thing on your face!

And another of spray foundation’s advantages is that it is durable: it doesn’t rub of on clothes and is it doesn’t run when it gets a little wet.

Spray foundation tends to be more expensive than other types of foundation, averaging around 50 dollars US per bottle for your typical product, but it is a great tool in your makeup bag: you can apply it in under 30 seconds, which is invaluable for any girl on the go who needs a quick application.

When it comes to applying spray foundations, there are a couple of methods you can use. You can spray it on your face and then touch it up with a makeup sponge or brush. You can spray it onto the brush and then use that to apply it. Or you can even spray it into your hand and then blot a makeup sponge in that and apply it to your face, or do the same with your fingers, instead.

At first, spray foundations are a bit tricky to learn how to apply, but once you’ve got it down, you’ll be applying it in a flash. Here’s some tips to help you out when you’re starting:

  1. Wear the headband that comes with your spray makeup product, to keep it out of your hair and your hairline when applying.
  2. Hold your breath and close your eyes (relaxed, not wrinkling up your forehead or eye area at all) when spraying it on so you don’t breath it in or get any in your eyes.
  3. You need to use a foundation primer with it, otherwise the product will likely emphasize your pores, which isn’t what you’re going for, I’m guessing.
  4. Before touching it up and filling in your coverage after spraying on, let it dry for a few seconds.

If you can get these things down, you’re well on your way to looking like an airbrush makeup goddess, just by using of spray foundation!
