Sinéad O’Connor: Miley Cyrus Fans Are Urging Me to ‘Commit Suicide’

The feuding between Sinéad O’Connor and Miley Cyrus seemingly can’t stop.

The “We Can’t Stop” singer, 20, was the subject of a fourth open letter by O’Connor, 46, who on Tuesday went on an approximate 30-paragraph rant, which mostly listed suicide statistics.

“As a result of what you did, I have had numerous communications from people urging me to commit suicide,” the “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer wrote. “Not to mention, I have been the subject of literally thousands of abusive articles and or comments left after articles, which state that I and therefore all perceived mentally ill people, should be bullied and be invalidated.”

Continuing to stick up for Amanda Bynes – whom Cyrus had also previously bashed for mental illness – O’Connor also went on to say, “Luckily I am a strong person. And I have four children whose lives would be destroyed if I were to buckle under the abuse you set me up for. If I were not, and or I did not have four children, these types of communications and these types of articles and remarks could have had their desired effect.”

O’Connor, who has already threatened to take legal action against the former Disney starlet, said, “I might add my children have been extremely upset by the nature of media attitudes toward their mother on the grounds their mother is (falsely) believed to be mentally ill.”

The dispute between the two musicians began as an open letter from O’Connor to Cyrus, in which she critiqued the younger star’s actions in her “Wrecking Ball” music video, telling her not “to prostitute” herself.
