Although many people enjoy having salads on the side, making a nice side dish, it is also possible to serve salads as the main dish as well. In fact, it is easier than ever to make main dish salads, since you can find roasted meats, shredded veggies and lettuces, and even eggs that are already boiled and peeled for you. If you are willing to get a bit creative, you can come up with wonderful salads that will make a nice main dish, whether you are serving your family or friends at a nice dinner party.

Salads have a come a long way and many people are beginning to get more creative with the salads that they create. No longer are you relegated to using iceberg lettuce. Many other greens are available for you to use in salads. Not only can you throw in plenty of veggies, but fruits can be added, as well as cheese and beans.
