The beaches of Cyprus are the most important attraction of the region. Every year these draw thousands of tourists who visit the place and you too would definitely have a pleasant time while you are on a vacation to the island. The pristine beaches are ideal for relaxing and also for engaging in a host of water sports. If you are on the lookout for a wonderful beach holiday, the beaches of Cyprus are an ideal destination!

The Agia Napa is the most beautiful beach in Cyprus. The beach is sandy and has a silvery texture, which is a major attraction for the tourists. You can play different beach games in Agia Napa beach. Water skiing, scuba diving, parachutes, sailing canoes, wind surfing, motor boats and scooters are a few examples of the activities that you may engage yourself in while you are on a trip to the region.

Coral Bay is in the western region of Cyprus. The beach has a beautiful curve and golden colored sands. The water in this beach is shallow and calm. The beach can be explored as it has many places to visit. Diving is the major sport here and you can definitely engage in it while you are there.

Nissi beach is quite a silent place that is located in the region. The Greek word Nissi means “small island”. The beach has white sands and the water is calm. The scenery is very peaceful and you are sure to feel rejuvenated while you are here. Nissi Bay is quite close to the harbor. It has good restaurants, water sports and pubs for the tourists. In the North western region of Cyprus is the Pomos Beach. It is maintained by the localities and is a very clean beach.

Cyprus has been awarded with the Blue Flag by International Blue Flag Jury in 2007. The award is dedicated to its 52 beaches that are spread over 13 coastal municipalities and communities. Some of the beaches that have received recognition are – Louma, Pernera, Vathia Gonia, Nissi, Nissi Bay, Lanta, Agia Napa and Macronissos, Yanathess, Potami, Vyrsi A, B and C, Nisia Lombardi, Konnos Bay, Kermia, Ammos Tou Kombouri, Glyki Nero, Pantachau, Loukkos, Katsarka and many more.
