Tips and Tricks on Applying Makeup During Summer

Creating the perfect kissable look can be a struggle on most days and in the summer, just a nightmare. With rising mercury levels and increasing humidity, maintaining the flawless morning look all day can be a challenging task. Here is a quick and easy guide on how to have that perfect sun kissed look last you through the day.

Pay Attention to All the Details

In our efforts to ditch the heavy make up during summer, we tend to skip certain steps and focus mainly on our skin. Instead, remember to pay as much attention to your lips and eyes as you would to your face. Skip the foundation as it will only block your pores and may even form a glossy coat on your face due to the heat. Instead use just a concealer for your eyes if required and finish with some powdered mineral make up that helps achieve the same look.

Get a Flawless Finish

To have that ideal summer glow on your face, use some wrinkle correcting eye cream to make them appear less fatigued or a hydrating cream or serum that will help in hiding your puffiness and fine lines. Use a bronzer to add some shine and finish with long lasting kohl or liner and give yourself a minimalistic look. Use a coloured liner for an outing to give your eyes a slight pop.

Lip Care

The sun and heat are affecting your lips much more then you realize. Just like your skin, your lips too may form blisters due to over exposure and the best way to avoid this is by using lip balms and lip moisturizers which will protect your lips and keep them from drying out and feeling chapped.

Lip Colour

Applying your regular lipstick during the harsh summer is not very advisable as it often melts and leaves your lips feeling sticky. Instead of going full out by using lipsticks give lip tints or stains a try, which would give you the desired look without the sticky sensation. Try to stick to light colours through the day such as shades or coral, peach or pink and bring out the darker tones of red and plum only at night. Finish with a coat of lip gloss if required.

Keep the above mentioned tips in mind while applying makeup so that you feel comfortable with the way you look. Have fun in the sun and do not worry about slipping eyeliners or melting makeup!
