American Idol’s Josh Gracin Leaves Apparent Suicide Note on Facebook

American Idol season 2 finalist Josh Gracin gave his family, friends and fans a huge scare Thursday after he reportedly posted an apparent suicide note on Facebook and then went missing.

“I’ve loved her for 17 years … I made mistakes … I admitted them, told her the truth and she turned her back on me when I needed her … the most … I love you all,” Gracin, 33, reportedly wrote in a post that has since been taken down, according to TMZ. “You have given me the greatest gift. You allowed me to touch your hearts with what I loved to do the most … Please remember me as someone who gave his all in his music … Pray for my family as they carry on in this world without me. Goodbye.”

TMZ reports that police rushed to Gracin’s residence in Spring Hill, Tennessee, where they found his wife, but the singer was not at home. Police were later able to get ahold of the former marine on the phone, and he supposedly told his wife he was coming home.

Law-enforcement officials apparently stopped Gracin on his way home, and he was reportedly placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold.

Gracin later took to social media to tell his fans he was all right.

“To all of you.. I apologize dearly for what I have put you through today… I am ok and I am getting help. I am so sorry to all of you.”

On Thursday night his manager, Amy Macintosh, posted messages on Gracin’s Twitter account and Facebook page to say he was safe and with his family.

Gracin, who has been married to wife Ann Marie since 2001 and has four kids, released new music last year but hasn’t had a hit song since 2007.
